Tower of Mencia

This tower gets its name from the fountain right at its base!
If you look closely, you’ll see a large stone mask shaped like a Gorgon – a mythical creature with bronze snakes instead of hair – pouring out fresh water for passersby.

But watch out... there’s a legend!
They say that whoever drinks from the Fonte della Mencia will one day return to Asciano.
