Colorful Asciano
What you will see during the path:
It was once called “Piazza di Mercatale” and was the true heart of the town!
There’s a special area inside the village of Asciano that, long ago, was completely dedicated to ceramics!
In Asciano, there's a super fun and much-loved festival: the Palio dei Ciuchi! It’s called that because… yes, the race is run with donkeys!
The Church of San Lorenzo (but everyone calls it San Francesco!)
The Church of Sant’Ippolito stands along the ancient Via Lauretana, a historic route once traveled by artists, merchants, and pilgrims.
The Cassioli family lived right here, along the main street of the village of Asciano.
